Aboveseat Bidets
Fully compliant with Aust. & N.Z regulations; this Bidet Seat is designed for customers who want an effective washing facility, but who do not want to extend their budget as far as a quality electronic bidet (and/or simply do not want the additional expense of installing a suitable power outlet). This bidet seat is ideal for people who prefer simplicity; do not need extra features such as warm water and a heated seat, but who do wish to remain compliant with Australian backflow prevention regulations.
This bidet seat provides touch-free cleaning to a limited extent only. 100% effectiveness will usually only be achieved when the process is assisted with your free hand - the same as if using a traditional bidet/bidette or handheld bidet. If you do require a completely touch free solution; Electronic Bidets (with a drying function) are recommended.
While not having the same versatility as a handheld bidet or quite the same direct efficiency as an under seat model, SprayBidet nevertheless performs remarkably well in both departments. The large central jet does the bulk of the cleaning while the 6 small outer jets clean the peripheral area and at the same time prevent outward splashing from the large central jet. The angle of the bidet outlet together with the individual direction and size of the jets has been carefully engineered for an optimum cleansing experience. With no complicated electronic circuitry to mal-function, water stream strength is easily controlled by the conventional ¼ turn valve – not some hard-to-see button. The plastic seat itself is strong, durable and uniquely suited to this bidet appliance. With good all-around ergonomic design it also sports a ‘soft close’ feature that eliminates toilet seat/lid slamming in the middle of the night. Lifting the bidet seat reveals a clean toilet pan, making cleaning much easier than for most other types of integrated bidets.
These bidets are also safer with children because un-supervised use of the spray results in water being directed into the toilet bowl - not on to the wall as is common with most other models. Another important benefit from the unique design of the SprayBidet is that high water pressure is not such a critical safety issue. No need for expensive pressure limiting valves! Because water is being directed at an angle across the body parts being cleaned (instead of directly at them), it is unlikely that injury could occur due to too high water pressure. Common sense of course prevails, and it is always wise to restrict water flow with the wall tap in areas where water pressure is high.
Everything needed is supplied in the kit and installation usually takes less than 20 minutes. The only tools usually required are a 10” shifting spanner and a pair of multi-grip pliers. Your existing pipe from the wall tap to the cistern tank is simply replaced with the complete assembly shown. Very little mechanical knowledge is required as these parts come already sealed and pre-assembled. Supplied with easy to follow, step-by-step installation instructions with clear explanatory photos, all our products come with the complete assurance of a full 12 month warranty on all materials and manufacture.
Although the SprayBidet is able to be easily installed by home owners themselves, because the outlet exceeds the regulation measurement above the rim of the toilet pan; plumbers can also confidently install this product within Australia and New Zealand, secure in the knowledge that there will be no added legal requirement to protect water supply with expensive, reduced pressure zone valves. Please be aware that except for approved Electronic Bidet Seats, other bidets with an outlet below the rim of the toilet pan may not comply with backflow prevention regulations of Australia & New Zealand (unless water supply is protected by a duly authorized RPZ valve).
